For Christmas I asked from my friends and family for two things. A new mouse (my requirements were wireless, and at least 5 buttons) and a cooling stand (preferably with a fan). I was lucky enough to receive both on the 25th, and have been experimenting with them since.
The mouse I received is a Wireless Laser Mouse by Micro Innovations (Model#PD7260LSR). It has 5 programmable buttons, and so far all it has been is trouble. Most likely because I am fairly new to drivers and installing them. I have been having trouble keeping all the settings with every start up of the computer. I have been having to open the mouse driver every time, meaning I have to re-set all the buttons every time as well. Nonetheless, I can get the mouse to work how it was designed. It has been very good functionality wise and it was everything I hoped it would be.
The cooling stand I received is the Laptop Cooling Stand by Belkin (Model#F5L001). It has a single fan in the middle of the stand. It also has a leg in the back for a comfortable tilt which is a nice feature. The major concerns of mine in cooling stands are 1. The stand cools the laptop adequately, and 2. The fan is not loud. (I think everyone agrees a loud fan is just plain annoying).Well, this product is virtually silent, and although my laptop doesn't get very hot in the first place it does a great job at keeping it cool. My favorite feature would be the storage compartment on the under side. It doesn't have built in usb ports like some cooling stands, but it also is very inexpensive so I wouldn't expect it to. I am very satisfied with this product, lets hope everything holds up.
